The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority (CRCA) is one of 36 conservation authorities in Ontario. A Conservation Authority's jurisdiction is based on a watershed an area of land drained by one stream or river. The CRCA is actually made up of 11 watersheds.

Canoe and kayak

Canoe & Kayak Rentals

We have canoe and kayak rentals available at Gould Lake Conservation Area and Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area during the summer months. Rental rates begin at $8 per hour. It's a great way to get out on the water!

If you are planning to build or alter land (e.g. excavation, filling) near a wetland, watercourse or along a shoreline, you may require planning approval or a permit from the CRCA.

Cool off at Gould Lake Conservation Area this Summer

Gould Lake Conservation Area is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from July 1 to September 1. Enjoy hiking, swimming, picnics, canoeing and kayaking.
